1. U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS: CONSTRUCTION BRANCH (1977-1986)

Positions have included:


Project Manager: (1982 - 1986)

Review and recommend for funding EPA Federal grants program projects. Conducted value engineering analysis and bid ability / constructability reviews on a variety of sanitary / environmental projects ranging in cost from $2 m to $40 m. 


Project Manager: (1979 - 1986)

Authorized representative of the Contracting Officer on a variety of projects ranging in cost from $50,000 to $2 m. Responsible for all phases of contract administration, construction management, construction quality control, safety program enforcement, and performing construction inspections and testing. 



Assistant Project Manager: (1979 - 1984)

Authorized representative of the Contracting Officer on the $50 m Lock and Dam No. 1 Rehabilitation Project. This multi-phase project consisted of 14 prime contractors and approximately 30 subcontractors. Major work phases required 2 ten-hour work shifts per day, working seven days per week. Responsibilities included all phases of contract administration, construction management, construction quality control, safety program enforcement, and performing construction inspections and testing. 


Project Manager: (1979 - 1980)

Authorized Representative of the Contracting Officer. Specifies furnished upon request. 


Office Manager: (1978 - 1979)

Specifies furnished upon request. 


Engineer Trainee: (1977 - 1978)

Participated in a formalized 12-month rotational training program.
